Salesforce Product Owner

Apex has an opportunity for a remote Salesforce Product Owner. Position is contract to hire (must be open to converting full time). Location is remote (working EST).

  • Techno/Functional Salesforce experience
  • Strong agile background – using SCRUM framework
  • JIRA & Confluence
  • 2 pluses: industry experience and Salesforce certification

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for documenting and driving alignment on the product vision as well as short and mid-term roadmap with key stakeholder groups. Must be able to provide data driven estimates.
• In collaboration with team and stakeholders, build and manage product backlog to ensure alignment on vision, goals and priorities of the product.
• Provide input on functional solution architecture and design. Must have at least general technical understanding of the platforms utilized in the product.
• Provide leadership and voice of the customer in requirement gathering efforts on high level features and epics.
• Work with other Product Owners to ensure there is a coordinated approach across the entire Omnipod Ecosystem.
• In conjunction with the product team, review and provide insight regarding story details and sizing efforts
• Drive backlog refinement activities and be a core contributor in Sprint planning as well as Sprint review ceremonies.
• Ensure completed Stories meet the definition of DONE
• Work with QA and other IT members to ensure that code is adequately reviewed and tested for functionality and security
• Anticipate issues and risks (such as security and regulatory) and escalate appropriately

Minimum requirements education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with SFDC CRM, SFDC Communities and Marketing Cloud. Must have at least functional knowledge of the platforms.
• 3+ years of experience using Agile methodologies related to Product Owner role
• Familiar with Software Development technologies and platforms such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Experience in global cross-functional groups that include QA, marketing, development and various stakeholders

Desired skills and competencies:

• Demonstrates strong communication skills in audiences with various levels of technical background.
