Job Description\n \n\n\n Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.\n\n\n The hiring range is $131,636.25 - $146,262.50\n\n\n Commerce City is seeking a forward-thinking Transportation Manager to lead the city’s traffic engineering and transportation planning efforts. This role focuses on shaping a safer, smarter, and more connected transportation network. As the Transportation Manager, you will oversee multimodal planning, traffic signal design and operations, MUTCD compliance, pedestrian safety improvements, intelligent transportation systems, and the implementation of the City’s Safety Action and Transportation Master Plans. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams, traffic signal technicians, planners, and Public Works leadership to deliver innovative solutions that improve mobility for residents every day.\n We’re looking for an experienced transportation professional with strong technical expertise in traffic operations, roadway design, and regulatory standards such as MUTCD, HCM, AASHTO, and CDOT. Two (2) years of supervisory experience and five (5) years of progressive experience in transportation planning and/or engineering required. Technical knowledge of traffic operations, traffic control, and transportation networks is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
