Security Guard - Retail SpacesBlueline Security Services is seeking dedicated, professional, and licensed (or have the ability to be licensed) Security Officers/Guards in DC Maryland and Virginia. These positions cover a wide range of posts and duties to include; property protection, theft deterrence, observing/reporting in apartment complexes, retail stores, mailing facilities, and many more.With over 75 years of law enforcement experience, our leadership team is well-equipped to handle the complexities of modern security needs. Three of these stores need security 7 days a week during their retail hours, and one location requires coverage for Friday-Sunday.Location: Georgetown, Washington D.C. 20007.Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour.Shifts: Retail hours, Mornings to Evenings.Days: Stores are open 7 days a week.Part-time and Full-time positions available.Observe and report to deter unwanted behavior.Make and keep detailed notes of events throughout the shift.Contact Emergency Services in an emergency situation.Address client staff's security needs.Work alongside a dispatch center and execute dispatch orders.Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.No prior experience is required; we will provide all necessary training.Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for armed positions).Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with the public.Must be an active listener with excellent problem-solving skills. Able to quickly and accurately assess and evaluate situations.Must have excellent conflict resolution skills with a tactful and diplomatic approach.We're looking for someone who is reliable and able to adapt to different assignments.You should be comfortable operating radio or telephone equipment and console monitors.Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clearly and accurately are also essential.All applicants must be willing to undergo a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all applicable laws.A valid driver's license may be required if operating a company or customer-owned vehicle.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.Health, dental, and vision plans for full-time employees.Paid time off.Paid training opportunities.
